Industrial silicon is also called metallic silicon, and its products belong to the upstream products of photovoltaic industry (new energy) and electronic industry.
At present, the global demand for solar photovoltaic products is growing continuously. The market demand and product prices of industrial silicon products are stable and favored by the industry.
The industrial silicon smelting industry belongs to the field of high energy consumption, and the consumption of electric energy accounts for a considerable proportion of the comprehensive production cost. In recent years, with the influence of factors such as the macro policies of various countries and the increase in enterprise production capacity, the equipment of industrial silicon electric furnace ore-heating furnace has developed in the direction of large-scale, automation and environmental protection.
Industrial silicon production is a high energy consumption industry. On average, each ton of industrial silicon consumes more than 13,000 KWh of electricity. Taking China as an example, an annual production of 1 million tons of industrial silicon requires more than 1.3 billion KWh.
The consumption of one ton of silicon in advanced foreign countries is 11,000 KWh. The power consumption of industrial silicon in my country is 10-20% higher than that of advanced foreign countries, and the potential for energy saving is still great. Therefore, in recent years, customers from all over the world have been buying SAF from us with advantages in quality and price.
The silicon refining process mainly involves continuous submerged arc slag-free smelting in an industrial silicon ore-fired furnace. During the entire smelting process, carbonaceous reducing agents (lignite, metallurgical coke, etc.) and silica are mixed in a certain ratio to form the charge. The electrodes in the furnace are deeply and steadily inserted into the charge, and industrial silicon is produced through arc heating chemical reaction.

Through years of exploration and discussion, Xi'an Sanrui has concluded that the average electrical efficiency of China's industrial silicon submerged arc furnace is above 92%.
Sanrui Furnace is also relatively mature in various technologies or measures to improve electrical efficiency, such as improving short-net structure design, using high-quality conductive materials, using low-voltage compensation technology, and improving electrical parameters.
