Ferroalloy submerged arc furnace adopts hydraulic pressure ring, suspension cylinder hydraulic lifting mechanism, and independently developed ferrosilicon ore furnace electrode adjustment device, which is an automatic control voltage discharge device integrating mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic.
Submerged arc furnace ferroalloy also has water-cooled cables, space lattice copper tube short net copper reverse parallel connection, forged copper tiles, etc.
Ferroalloy refining furnace, ferroalloy adopts different smelting methods according to product variety and quality requirements, mainly carbon reduction method (blast furnace, electric furnace), metal heat reduction method and electrolysis method; and can be refined by desiliconization refining, oxygen blowing, vacuum solid decarburization and other methods.
Main Application of Ferroalloy Refining Furnace
Ferroalloy refining furnace is mainly used for desiliconization and refining of ore, high silicon low carbon ferroalloy refining products and flux and other furnace materials, so as to obtain medium carbon, low carbon and micro carbon ferroalloy products;
Currently used for smelting of medium chromium iron, low chromium iron, low micro chromium iron, nickel iron, manganese iron, high titanium slag, rare earth alloy, zirconium and other ferroalloy products.

7. Circulating water cooling, and the equipment is required to have a high-level backup water system to prevent damage to components caused by sudden power outages, and an over-temperature automatic alarm system is adopted.
8. The submerged arc furnace ferroalloy tilting mechanism adopts a large roller structure, and the furnace body has no horizontal displacement during tilting, and the package is fixed during steel tapping, which improves safety.
9. All secondary gears of the transformer adopt constant power to maximize the utilization rate of the transformer, and the natural power factor of the transformer reaches more than 92%.

Ferroalloy Refining Furnace Smelting Process

Ferroalloy refining furnace is the main equipment for smelting ferroalloys. Ferroalloy electric furnaces are divided into two categories: reduction furnaces and refining furnaces. Reduction furnaces are also called submerged arc furnaces or ore-fired electric furnaces. They adopt submerged arc operation with electrodes inserted into the charge. Reduction furnaces are open, closed (or semi-closed), and the furnace body is fixed, rotating, and other forms. Refining furnaces are used to refine medium-carbon, low-carbon, and micro-carbon ferroalloys. The capacity of the electric furnace is generally 1500 to 6000 kVA, and it adopts an open fixed or covered tilting form. The former is similar to the reduction furnace and can be equipped with continuous self-baking electrodes; the latter is similar to the electric arc steelmaking furnace and uses graphite or carbonaceous electrodes.

With the continuous development of technology, the electric arc furnace steelmaking process has also undergone great changes. During the melting period, auxiliary energy is used to accelerate melting, such as injection of oil-oxygen, natural gas-oxygen or pulverized coal-oxygen. The melting time of each furnace is shortened by 15 ~20min, power consumption can be reduced by 50~60kWh/t;

The ferroalloy refining furnace adopts intermittent smelting method, and the charge is added to the furnace in batches or in batches. It is generally divided into two periods: melting and refining. During the melting period, the electrode is buried in the charge; while during the refining period, the arc is exposed. After the refining is completed, the alloy and slag are discharged, and new materials are loaded to continue the next furnace smelting.

Since the intermittent smelting method is carried out periodically, it is also called the periodic smelting method.

In view of the different operating process characteristics of each period of smelting, the operating power is also different. Intermittent smelting is used to smelt medium and low carbon ferromanganese, medium, low and micro carbon ferrochrome, etc.
