VOD vacuum refining furnace has multiple functions such as vacuum degassing, oxygen blowing decarburization, vacuum charging, argon blowing stirring, non-vacuum temperature measurement sampling, wire feeding, etc. VOD type vacuum refining equipment is one of the most widely used refining equipment outside the furnace in the world. The overall structure of VOD melting furnace adopts one tank and one cover, the tank cover is movable, and the tank body is fixed pit type.
The main equipment of VD vacuum degassing is mainly composed of a vacuum tank arranged on the ground and a vacuum tank cover moving on the platform. The vacuum tank cover is hung on the transport vehicle through a lifting device. A 2m' vacuum charging tank, a peephole, and a TV camera hole are provided on the vacuum tank cover; a ladle heat shield cover is hung inside the tank cover.
The overall structure of VOD ladle refining furnace adopts one tank and one cover, the tank cover is movable, and the tank body is fixed pit type.
When no oxygen blowing operation is performed, the VOD furnace can fully realize the operation function of the VD furnace. The tank body is connected to the vacuum pump, and the three-stage dust collector and the main stop valve are used to open and close the tank body and the vacuum pump. Before the ladle is hoisted into the tank body, the vacuum pipeline can be pre-evacuated. In this way, the vacuum pump can be fully utilized, the tank body's evacuation time and temperature drop can be shortened, and the VOD furnace can be matched with the electric furnace, LF, and casting line to achieve the best effect.

Characteristics of VOD Vacuum Refining Furnace Equipment
1. The vacuum tank receives the ladle to be processed. After the crane places the ladle in the vacuum tank, the argon pipe is manually connected. The tank is a welded structure and is equipped with a ladle guide structure to facilitate the lifting of the ladle. It has a refractory lining to prevent thermal stress. The tank bottom is equipped with a leak-proof device.
2. The tank cover is electrically-mechanically driven, and the tank cover is hydraulically driven. The tank cover is a disc-shaped structure with a refractory lining, and the shielding cover is equipped with a straight section to increase the free space.
3. The tank cover traveler adopts variable frequency speed regulation to make the cover car start, walk and stop smoothly.
4. The tank cover adopts a disc-shaped head to reduce the deadweight of the tank cover, increase the strength, and make the force distribution of the tank cover more reasonable. The tank cover has a certain upright section to adapt to the shielding cover structure.
5. The tank cover is equipped with an oxygen blowing device, a vacuum hopper, an artificial observation window, a TV camera, and a temperature measurement and sampling device under non-vacuum conditions, which can observe the smelting state in the furnace at any time, realize the adjustment of alloy composition and temperature measurement and sampling under non-vacuum conditions.
6. A single-layer silicone rubber sealing ring is used to seal between the tank cover and the tank body. A sealing ring is set on the flange of the tank body, and a blowing device is set on the tank cover to prevent the hot air flow from burning the sealing ring, and to blow away dust and debris on the flange of the tank body.
7. It adopts an advanced vacuum feeding mechanism with good sealing and easy operation. It can realize feeding and slag making under vacuum, adjust the alloy composition, and improve the recovery rate of the alloy.
8. The vacuum tank and the tank cover are built with refractory materials for protection.
