Generally, the EAF water cooled roof adopts the tubular water-cooled closed tube furnace cover structure.

The electric arc furnace cover includes the furnace cover body and the receiving hopper device. The main structure frame is made into a circular shape with seamless steel pipes, which not only serves as the strength requirements of structural members, but also serves as the main inlet and return water pipelines. Each cooling water pipe is connected through the main inlet and return water pipelines.

The rest is composed of slightly smaller dense tubes. The water-cooled plate is easy to replace and maintain, and its service life is>3000 boilers.

Electric arc furnace (EAF) roof's water-cooled material pipe is adopted at the lower part of receiving hopper. Flanged stainless steel metal hoses (with swivel adapter) are adopted for the main inlet and outlet cooling pipes of the furnace cover, and handle-type stainless steel metal hoses are adopted for other water cooling pipes.

The central part of the electric arc furnace (EAF) roof is a small central cover with three electrode holes, made of refractory castable.

Description

Tube nest type EAF water-cooled furnace roof refers to that the water-cooled surface of the inner wall of the electric arc furnace cover is composed of closely arranged steel tubes with cooling water in the tubes. The tube type water cooled furnace cover is divided into integral type and combined type. Due to the large structure size, the combined water-cooled furnace cover is divided into 2~6 pieces for manufacturing in consideration of transportation and water distribution, and then combined into a whole.


Generally, it is appropriate to adopt split assembly type for the cover with the diameter of 4.5m or above. Due to many openings and accessories on the cover, the water cooled furnace roof of the ladle furnace is mostly of integral type.


When the cooling water enters the water-cooled furnace cover, the main water distribution pipe comes out from the main water distribution pipe and is divided into several branches to enter the water cooling plates. The cooling area and resistance of each branch are different.

The water-cooled furnace cover of arc furnace has the following advantages:

Increase the effective volume in the furnace and increase the output;

Reduce loading times;

It can improve the power level of the furnace;

Reduce the number of furnace repair and improve the productivity;

Long arc operation can be adopted to improve the power factor;

Significantly reduce refractory consumption;

It can recover the waste heat of cooling water and save energy;

The return temperature of cooling water can be used as the control signal during production.
